Carrots sliced or cut into fries, roasted in the Air Fryer with a little garnish which gives them a sublime crunchy side. Baked variation.
You too, have you succumbed to the passion of the Air Fryer? I admit, making ultra crispy frying or cooking without fryers, with very little fat, I adore.
So at the moment I’m having fun using all kinds of vegetables, cut in all shapes, in slices, slices, cubes, sticks, frits… And varying the marinades or seasonings in search of the, sorry, perfect recipes.

So here I offer you a variation of my oven-roasted whole carrots. I peeled them, cut off both ends and cut them into rounds, don’t ask me why. Shaped like sticks for making fries, it’s really the same. What matters is the thickness. The larger they are, the longer the cooking time in the Air Fryer and vice versa.
My next test will be to mix these carrots prepared in this way with potatoes: sweet potato and potatoes, all cut into the shape of fries. What do you think, I will see if these three ingredients need the same cooking time. To be continued…
I offer you here in addition to the base of oil and salt and pepper seasoning two things:
Little tip: You can either mix everything in a salad bowl, starting by mixing the dry ingredients before adding the olive oil and soy sauce. Then add the sliced carrots and mix everything together.
Or opt for the quick and effective method: use a container with a tight-fitting lid. Put everything as explained previously, close and shake well until well mixed and the carrots are well covered with the mixture.
For this recipe, cooking time is around fifteen minutes, Air Fryer cooking mode, at 200°C. I used my Ninja Foodie Max (this is not a sponsored article, I’m just telling you what equipment I have).
Halfway through cooking, mix so that the carrots are crispy on all sides.
Cooking time depends on the thickness of your carrot pieces. Also check 5 minutes before the end to stop if necessary. Or extend it a little after mixing the carrots again if your pieces are large.

Don’t have an Air Fryer? Make this recipe in the oven.
Prepare the same quantities with the same preparation method and spread everything out on a baking tray (ideally covered with baking paper, it is less likely to stick and will be easier to wash).
Spread the carrots well so that they overlap to a minimum and bake in the oven at the same temperature, 200°C, for 15/20 minutes. Check the cooking and extend if necessary.

To prevent sleep
Serve as a side dish, it’s even better with it a little hummus or a little homemade fromage blanc sauce (I explain this to you in the article).
