Japanese Japanese green tea, matcha 抹茶 is a healthy food par excellence: very rich in vitamin C and antioxidants (more precisely catechins, a powerful class of antioxidants) whose virtues are no longer selling, matcha contains amino acid L-theanine which acts on the brain by reducing mental and physical stress. It therefore calms the body and promotes vigilance without the disadvantages of caffeine (note that matcha contains caffeine, but much less than in coffee).
