Japanese Japanese green tea, matcha 抹茶 is a health food par excellence: very rich in vitamin C and antioxidants (more precisely catechins, a powerful class of antioxidants) whose virtues are no longer sold, matcha contains the amino acid L-theanine which acts on the brain by reducing mental and physical stress. It therefore calms the body and promotes alertness without the disadvantages of caffeine (note that matcha contains caffeine, but much less than in coffee).

Chia seeds As for them, they are also a concentrate of good things: notably rich in Omega 3, magnesium, fiber and proteins.

Together matcha and chia make a perfect cocktail. And depending on your tastes or the nutritional benefits you are looking for, make this recipe either with milk or with vegetable milk : soy milk, coconut milk, almond milk, spelled milk, oat milk. For my part, I always have something to make from this recipe which I take as a snack or even an appetite suppressant mid-morning or afternoon at the office. My latest inclination is a buckwheat rice drink. It’s not bad.

Not much need for sweeten In my opinion, honey, agave syrup or coconut sugar do the job perfectly. You can add diced seasonal fruit to make it a complete dessert. It’s up to you to make the recipe your own.
