The ultimate family dessert, this apple crumble is deliciously flavored thanks to bits of speculoos biscuit in the crumble dough. Here with apples, to try with all kinds of fruit.
Who can resist a crumble that’s still hot out of the oven? With a scoop of vanilla ice cream or crème fraîche (or even cottage cheese like my daughters)? For lovers of quick and easy baking, delicious homemade desserts without the hassle, crumble is a must. So in this period of being confined to managing family meals without going out to do the shopping too much, this is the ideal recipe. Basic ingredients from the fridge and cupboard, apples and that’s it.
The idea of the recipe is to reduce the quantity of flour and add crushed or crushed speculoos biscuits in a mortar.
And if you like crumbles, you will find a summer fruit crumble recipe on the blog, my oatmeal crumble dough which is very popular on the blog with its crunchy side, and the streusel dough which is a nice variation with this apple and pear crumble-style streusel recipe. And in a savory version, one of my daughters’ favorite dishes: fish and vegetable crumble with coconut milk.
