This is a slightly special cake that doesn’t look like a classic cake, but very healthy, healthy as some would say. Its texture is very soft thanks to the banana and fragrant thanks to the raisins and spices. Ideal for those looking for alternatives to traditional cakes or healthy recipe ideas with a twist.
To tell you the truth, at the beginning I didn’t really intend to publish this recipe on the blog, personally I love it and it’s one of my frequent breakfasts, but I wasn’t sure if it had its place here. But given your enthusiasm every time I share it in a story on Instagram (as I often make this cake, I have shared it several times) I am delivering it to you. You will tell me… But don’t expect a traditional sponge cake or even a classic banana bread (my chocolate banana cake recipe is also available here).

I realize that I have another somewhat similar recipe: this slightly different banana oatmeal cake, also gluten-free but with butter, sugar and eggs. You will notice that I like to offer desserts with oat flakes, like in this crumble dough to reduce the quantity of flour and add crunch, in milk chocolate and cranberry cookies or these orange cookies.
